Corrective Exercise

We start with the tasks you want to improve, then choose relevant mobility, strength and control work. There is no single perfect movement pattern for everyone; the aim is to find options suited to your activity and ability.

Who this is for

  • Building movement skills before increasing training loads
  • Finding tasks such as squats, step-ups or overhead movements difficult
  • Wanting guidance on technique and a suitable starting point

What we work on with you

Review the task

Assess the movements involved in the activity you want to improve.

Train the limiting factors

Choose mobility, strength or control exercises based on the findings.

Use it in your training

Adjust the movement and load, then practise it within your routine.

Ask about corrective exercise

Practise the movements you need

Your target task guides which mobility, strength or control skills to practise, with a clear connection to your gym work or sport.

Weight-training movements

Practise squatting, hinging, pushing or pulling in suitable variations.

Single-leg tasks

Develop control during stepping, single-leg stance or loading where appropriate.

Upper-body movement

Practise reaching, lifting the arms or turning for your target activity.

The aim is not identical technique for everyone or a claim that technique changes prevent all injuries. Pain should be assessed before training begins.

What to expect at your first visit

  1. Discuss and assess

Start with your health history, difficulties and goals.

  2. Plan and practise

Choose exercises and a starting level suited to your ability.

  3. Plan what comes next

Talk through practice, activity adjustments and follow-up.

Before your visit

Tell us which tasks feel difficult. Let us know before booking if you have pain or a recent injury.

Questions before booking

Have another question? Ask the team before booking.

Does this realign bones or change my structure?

It is not a bone-realignment service. The aim is to develop your ability and control during movement and exercise.

Can I train without pain?

Yes, if you want to develop movement skills or training foundations.

What if I currently have pain?

Tell the team first. A physiotherapy assessment may be more appropriate than starting training straight away.

What does it cost?

Ask the team about current fees, inclusions and appointment duration before confirming a booking.
